Dr.
Janice Thean graduated with honours from Monash University and
trained in Ophthalmology at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear
Hospital. After completing her specialty fellowship exams, she spent
an elective year at the hospital gaining further experience in
cataract surgery and was involved in research, and teaching of
junior trainees.
She
has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals. She is
fluent in several languages/dialects including Cantonese, Mandarin,
Foo Chow and Malay. She is currently a consultant ophthalmologist
attending the Western General Hospital, Footscray and the Royal
Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.
